I grew up in Clare, Michigan. I have unending memories of this incredible town that is the Gateway to the North. From the original Jay's Sporting Goods, where my Mom and Step-Dad met, worked, and fell in love, to the ball diamonds at Brookwood Athletic Complex where we spent many weekends as children watching our wonderful Dad play an unstoppable third baseman in countless ball tournaments. This amazing town and the fantastic people in it established me as a human.
Although I had a solid foundation, I try very hard to be a better version of myself everyday. That means a lot of self-reflection, unlearning, and practicing self-care. I spend quiet moments with God in the morning, I workout nearly every day, I dance with my dogs, I draw, read, write, crochet, and sing every chance I get. From time to time I treat myself to a Squealer from Cops & Doughnuts, burgers from Time Out Tavern, and all kinds of goodies from Ruckle's Pier! I spend time with my husband, children, grandchildren, and my Tribe of amazing women, and I do anything I can to help my community grow and improve.
My advice to the masses...
"Be kind, extend grace, leave the world better than you found it, and for goodness sake, HAVE FUN!
